When engaging with BMP User Group through our website, you are required to enter personal information when you register. Personal information may also be collected by us when you send us an email. - Position held
- Hospital
- Group
- Any information you choose to provide though forms on the website
- Account login credentials
Website information
To help analyze how the BMP User Group website is performing, we compile aggregate statistics about site performance with assistance from third-party analytics service providers.
This information helps keep the site running efficiently and gives us valuable information if something goes wrong.
If you have accepted our Cookie Policy then User and Session tracking cookies will be set in your browser.
Users and Sessions are tracked using a randomly generated unique id. These tracking tokens also contain the time at which the cookie was set.
These do not contain any personally identifiable information.
On what legal basis do we collect this information
We collect this information about you as we have a legitimate interest in doing so. It is required in order to protect the privacy of the data stored in this website.

In the event that BMP User Group or the data Processor is involved in a merger or acquisition that requires the transfer of personal information to a new entity the new entity will be bound by the same terms of this privacy policy in relation to your personal information that was collected prior to the merger or acquisition.
Third Party Services
Microsoft Azure Services
The BMP User Group website is hosted within the UK on Microsoft's Azure platform. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit between the web server and the database server.
Mailgun
We make use of the Mailgun email service when sending emails from out website. When an email is sent to you, Mailgun receive all the information within that email. This may contain your first name, your last name, your email address and the contents of the email. This email will be retained for a maximum of 30 days.
Updating or deleting personal data
We keep your personal data for as long as you are a registered member of our service.
If you would like us to cease all of the described uses of your personal data, you may delete your account at any time
from the Update Details section from the Account dropdown. This will delete your personal data (excluding any Cases you may have created) from our records, and we will make no further use of it.
We may, however, retain copies of your personal data in backups.
If you are unsuccessful during the registration process then your data will be retained for a period of 30 days after the date of rejection.
Updates to our Privacy Policy
This privacy policy may change from time to time. The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when the last change to this policy was made. We will provide notice to you via email of any changes to this policy in order to obtain your consent.
